May 28, 2026 Weekly Lake Lanier Striper Fishing Conditions

Water Temp: mid to high 70’s

Clarity: Clear lake wide

Lake Level: 1066.10 (4.9 ft below full pool and rising)

Weather Trend – Quite a bit of rain and clouds still hanging around through the weekend. The good news is the lake is finally coming up. The cloud cover and slight drop in water temperatures have extended the early morning planer board and flatline bite longer than normal.

What’s Working Right Now

There has definitely been a shift from points and bluffs to drainages and ditches coming into coves and bays. Fish are holding over 40–100 feet of water and are scattered at first light before grouping up as the morning progresses. Planer boards and flatlines continue to work early, especially on cloudy mornings, before transitioning to downlines later in the day. Mid lake areas between the 369 and 53 bridges continue to produce well.
