June 11, 2026 Weekly Lake Lanier Striper Fishing Conditions

Water Temp: High 70s

Clarity: Clear lake wide

Lake Level: 1066.69 (4.31 ft below full pool and rising)

Weather Trend – Warm and muggy with mornings in the 70s and afternoon highs pushing into the high 80s to low 90s through the weekend. Water temperatures are on the move and approaching the 80-degree mark. That shift is pushing the action deeper and making it a downline game from here out.

What’s Working Right Now

Fish have made a clear move to deeper water. The action is concentrated in both east and west creek channels – think one-third to halfway back into the creeks – with fish also showing up on and near the main lake channel. Depths of 70 to 100 feet are where you need to be focused this week. The downline on a planer board – what Ron calls a downer board – has been the standout technique. That spread keeps the bait in the strike zone a little longer and is giving anglers a better chance at a clean hookup.

Bait presentation from the surface down to 15 feet has stopped producing, so leave the shallow setups at the dock. If you’re willing to mix it up mid-morning, U-rigs fished on 30 to 40-foot humps are picking up smaller fish. It’s not the trophy bite, but it keeps rods bent while you’re searching for the bigger groups.

Groups of fish are moving fast this week and not staying bunched up for long. When you mark fish on the graph, be ready to go hard right then. The south creek arms – Two Mile, Six Mile, and Flowery Branch – are your best starting points. Work 50 to 90 feet and run back and forth across the creek channel until you find them. Don’t anchor on yesterday’s spot.
