June 25, 2026 Weekly Lake Lanier Striper Fishing Conditions

Lake Level: 1066.71 (4.29 below full pool and rising)

Water Temperature: Low – Mid 80’s

Water Clarity: Clear

Weather Pattern (past few days): Low 70’s in the morning and high 80’s to low 90’s for the highs.  Very normal early summer weather.

There are no major changes from last week’s report. The summer pattern remains firmly established with fish continuing to hold in deeper water. Downlines remain the primary technique, and anglers are finding the most success by staying mobile and following fish on their electronics.

If you don’t see fish on your graph, don’t wait them out. Keep moving until you find active fish.

What’s a Downer Board?

A downer board is simply a downline attached to a planer board. It’s a great way to reach fish that move away from the boat, especially during the summer when fish don’t always want to sit directly underneath you.

We’ve been using this setup more and more lately as fish settle into their summer pattern.

I put together a quick video showing exactly what a downer board is, why we use it, and when it can make a difference.
